Post-workshop recall questions for corporate trainers
Post-workshop recall questions for corporate trainers is a SaaS idea for independent corporate trainers and small training companies, priced to test at $49 a month per trainer. Attendees leave a workshop keen and forget the key points within weeks. With it, corporate trainers send attendees short questions for weeks after a workshop and give the client a report on what stuck.
. A starting point we wrote, not market research: run the 7-day test before you build.
What problem does it solve?
Attendees leave a workshop keen and forget the key points within weeks. When the client asks what changed, the trainer has only a feedback form from the day.
Why now: Clients want proof that training changed something, and follow-up after the day is extra work trainers can charge for.
What do they use today?
Most trainers send a thank-you email with the slides, and contact ends there. A few phone the client a month later to ask how it went, which gives opinions rather than evidence.
How does it work?
A trainer writes a set of questions for a course once and reuses it for every workshop. After each workshop the product emails the attendees on a schedule over the following weeks, and they answer straight from the email without signing in. The trainer then shares a report for each client company that shows answers over time, and the client contact can view it online.
What goes in the first version?
- Question sets per course, written once and reused
- Emails to attendees spaced over the weeks after
- Answer from the email without signing in
- Report per client company showing answers over time
- Client contact can view the report online
Who pays, and how much?
- Who pays
- Independent corporate trainers and small training companies
- Price to test
- $49 a month per trainer
A flat monthly price per trainer suits independents who run many workshops for several clients. Because follow-up is work a trainer can bill the client for, the price is easy to plan around.
How to test it in 7 days
- 1Ask five corporate trainers what clients ask for after a workshop and what they deliver.
- 2Email follow-up questions by hand to one recent workshop’s attendees and track replies.
- 3Ask two training buyers in HR whether they’d pay more for a follow-up report.
Where to find the first customers
- Trainer and facilitator communities on LinkedIn
- Learning and development associations
- Training companies that hire freelance trainers
What are the risks?
- Attendees ignore extra emails, so each must be short and clearly from the trainer.
- Some client companies restrict emails to staff, so the client must approve sending.

You are in a fresh copy of the shipanysaas starter kit, a pnpm and Turborepo monorepo: the Next.js web app is in apps/web and the Supabase database, with its migrations, in apps/web/supabase. Help me build the first version of Post-workshop recall questions for corporate trainers. Read AGENTS.md first, then the AGENTS.md in every folder you work in: the kit's rules there win over your defaults. When a skill in .agents/skills (also in .claude/skills and .cursor/skills) matches a task, use it. ## The product - What it does: Corporate trainers send attendees short questions for weeks after a workshop and give the client a report on what stuck. - Who pays: Independent corporate trainers and small training companies - Their problem: Attendees leave a workshop keen and forget the key points within weeks. When the client asks what changed, the trainer has only a feedback form from the day. - Price to test: $49 a month per trainer (a plan in apps/web/config/billing.config.ts) ## Build only this first version 1. Question sets per course, written once and reused 2. Emails to attendees spaced over the weeks after 3. Answer from the email without signing in 4. Report per client company showing answers over time 5. Client contact can view the report online ## Already in the kit: reuse it, never rebuild it - Teams and roles: team accounts with members, roles and invitations - Billing: Stripe or Lemon Squeezy subscriptions, per seat or usage-based, and one-off payments - Emails: transactional email through Resend or Nodemailer - In-app notifications: a notifications bell in the web app ## New code it needs - Question sets and spaced email schedule - Answer capture without sign-in - Client report and share link ## How to work 1. Plan first: list the database tables (with row-level security, so each team only sees its own rows), the pages and the server actions for the first feature. Then stop and wait for my OK. 2. Build one feature at a time with the kit's own UI and form components, with a migration for every schema change and user-facing text in the translation files. 3. After each feature, run the verification steps in AGENTS.md, fix what they find, and tell me what you built and what comes next. ## Rules - Ask me before you add a dependency, delete a file, or change sign-in, billing or the admin panel. - Leave the parts of the kit this product doesn't use as they are. Done when every first-version feature works for a signed-in team and the AGENTS.md checks pass.
