Where Supastarter is stronger

More choices. Supastarter sells the kit for Next.js, Nuxt and TanStack Start, and each purchase covers one of them. Inside, you choose Prisma or Drizzle; PostgreSQL by default, or MySQL or SQLite; one of five payment providers (Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Creem and Dodo Payments); and Resend, Postmark or Nodemailer for email. shipanysaas is Next.js on Supabase, with Stripe or Lemon Squeezy.

Several languages. Supastarter ships translations, a language switcher and translatable email templates. shipanysaas is set up for translation with next-intl, but only English ships, so each extra language is work for you or your agent.

Plans for development teams. Startup covers up to five developers and Agency up to ten, both with priority email support and a 60-minute consulting call, and Agency adds a private Discord channel with the founder. Every plan gets the Discord community, which the FAQ puts at 1,200+ members.

A longer track record. The FAQ says the kit has been maintained for over two years, and the public changelog had an update on 9 October 2026. shipanysaas is new and has no history like that yet.

More services wired in. Background jobs and cron (trigger.dev and QStash), S3-compatible file storage, a choice of analytics providers and an AI chatbot example built on the Vercel AI SDK. shipanysaas doesn't include a job queue or any AI features in the product, and its files go to Supabase Storage.

Where shipanysaas is different

A phone app on the same backend. All-in adds an Expo app for iPhone, iPad and Android that signs in to the same Supabase project as the web app, with the same accounts, teams and plan. Supastarter's changelog lists a mobile app starter kit as planned.

Built on Supabase. Despite the name, Supastarter doesn't require Supabase: it uses better-auth with Prisma or Drizzle, and Supabase is one of several databases its docs cover. shipanysaas uses Supabase for sign-in, the database and file storage, with row-level security on every table. It ships 23 database test files, and most of them sign in as other users and try to reach their data.

Agent setup across tools. Both kits ship AGENTS.md and agent skills, and Supastarter's 22 skills are written for its own codebase. shipanysaas has setup for 10 named agents, up to 49 ready-made skills (most of them third-party skills bundled with their licences) and up to 17 written fixes for setup errors.

A demo you open in one click. The shipanysaas demo has a shared login on its sign-in page and resets every hour, and there is a web build of the phone app too. Supastarter's demo app asks you to sign in or sign up with your own account.

Price and licence

Both are a single payment with no subscription. Supastarter's plans step up by developer seats and by project type: Solo lists unlimited personal projects, Startup team projects and Agency client projects. shipanysaas has one licence for unlimited products, yours and your clients', and its two plans differ by platform: Starter is the web app, and All-in adds the phone app. Current prices are in the table above.
